    Mostly I wanted to thank you for writing this blog in the first place. I’m the sole sysadmin at my workplace as well, and sometimes it’s hard for me to really get an idea of how well I’m doing at my job.

    It really is hard to gauge yourself without any outside metrics. I’ve heard a lot of people talking about how you should judge yourself, or what meter you should measure yourself against. There isn’t really any one answer, just because of how different everyone’s environment is.

    And as for serverfault, I really love the idea. None of us is as smart as all of us. Sure, you get the occasional bad answer, but it’s usually drowned out by the good answers. Thanks for the kind words, and for visiting the blog. Please keep coming back!
