Speaking at the October NYC Postgres meeting

Did you all know I had a blog? I mean, you wouldn’t be able to tell it from the number of posts lately, but it’s still here!

Apologies for the lack of updates, if you’re one of the people who reads frequently, but I’ve got a lot of pots on the stove at the moment.

More to the point, I’m really excited to be able to speak at the New York City Postgres User Group in October. On Thursday, October 17th, I’ll be presenting something I like to call, “SSDs: How do they work?” It’s a derivative of the SSD class that I taught at LOPSA-East this year.

If you’re in the NYC area and want to learn a little more about SSDs and why they’re not just really fast hard drives, sign up and come to the meeting!
